Ah, one of the top classic NES games. 100 levels of hopping, bubble-filled fun. I mean, what is there really to say?

The controls are simple. Spit a bubble and jump. You can also jump on the spit bubbles by mashing jump or jump at/fall through them to break them.

Sound is iconic at this point and overall enjoyable.

Graphics aren't bad but they lean a little 'crazy eye blinding colors' sometimes.

Gameplay is relatively simple where the goal of the game is to trap the enemies in bubbles and pop them on each level, avoiding damage, figuring out the puzzle, and grabbing powerups or special items along the way.

Through the 100 levels I found myself routinely annoyed by the decision to have random, passable walls that were not marked in any way. I felt more like I was glitching than actually playing the game right, to be honest, but it's obvious that was the only to do the level. Otherwise the game was fun, sometimes frustrating, but generally enjoyable.

You control a dragon that shoots bubbles (of saliva?) from its mouth. You can capture monsters in the bubbles who then float around the screen in the bubble. You have to jump on the bubble to pop it with the monster in it who then turns into a piece of fruit that falls to the floor. If you wait too long the bubble will turn red and the monster will come back angry and fast. If you wait too long to complete the stage, a skeletal shark appears and hunts you down. You can't avoid him and if you don't beat the stage before he hits you, you lose a life. Once all the monsters on the stage are popped, you proceed to the next stage.

Bubble Bobble has finally come to the NES. The premise is simple: take control of a bubble-blowing dinosaur and blow bubbles to trap a monster. After the monster is trapped, squash the bubble and turn the monster into fruit. Do this to all of the monsters in the stage, collect all of the fruit, and move on to the next stage.
